Right bowling action

Yo
The bowling depends upon the bowling action....
You can keep it either front on or side on
The one which suits you better.
There is mixed action also which is the combo of front as well as side....
I suggest you to adopt side on as it increases accuracy, speed, swing as well as the momentum.
Mostly if you are more towards inswing take up side on and vise-versa.
But you need to see with which you are comfortable the most.
Or you can give me your bowling action videos so that, I can help you in improving it.
Everyone's welcome.....

Thank you

Curious about swing ??

Hello Friends,
I see bowlers not getting the right swing at their bowl. Why !! The answer's here....

  1. For even a conventional swing, the ball must be 70% worn and teared and one side should be shiny enough.
  2. The rough or worn side should be on the side where you want the ball to swing. Say, you want out swing so the worn side should be out (off side of the batsman)
  3. The pace should be enough and requires a high bowling action.
  4. You cannot swing the bowl in a short pitch or area.
  5. Common, now swing it off.

Line and length

Hi,

I often see many pacers not getting the line and the length they want.
So, with my expert advice you can have the batsman in your control....
  1.     Take a good run-up (as told in the previous post)
  2.     At the time of delivering ,
  3.     Don't focus on the wickets, focus the patch on the pitch on which you want the ball to bounce and smash the wickets !!
  4. In fact, do some concentration exercises like focusing on a pen's tip, at a flame or a dot.
  5. So keeping all this in mind make batsman out of  mind.

Speed

I see many young learners saying 'Why don't i get enough pace on my ball ?'
The answer's here,
  1. Hold the ball comfortably.
  2. Take slow steps (small) at the starting of the run-up.
  3. When you are just 7-8 steps away from the popping crease, speed up as much as you can.
  4. When delivering bowling arm should be some what slanting which puts more force on the ball.
  5. As you feel you are throwing or chucking the ball.
  6. But you are not.
  7. BTW speed also depends how fast your arm swings.
  8. So follow these steps and bowl hard.
